Thanks to the support given by the municipality, BAK-Kadıköy has become one of the few teams in Turkey in terms of education.
The members of the Urban Search and Rescue Team, who received trainer training from Boğaziçi University, provide disaster training with volunteer groups and at schools before disasters, and it is aimed to raise awareness by giving the participants basic information about what they can do before, during and after disasters.
Apart from the trainings prepared by Boğaziçi University, various adult and school trainings have also been developed by BAK-Kadıköy trainers.
TRAINING MODULES WE ARE AUTHORIZED
Basic Disaster Awareness Training (TABE): The training content prepared by AFAD provides information about basic behavior patterns before, during and after disasters. Training duration is 1 hour.
Basic Disaster Awareness Training (TABE): The training content prepared by Boğaziçi University A.H.E.B provides information about basic behavior patterns before, during and after disasters. Training duration is 2 hours.
Structural Awareness Training Against Earthquake (DKYB): In the training prepared by Boğaziçi University AHEB, construction of buildings in earthquake zones, use of soil data, carrier systems and load transfer system, factors affecting the earthquake behavior of buildings, correct material use and construction method, maintenance of buildings during use, earthquake protection Information on preparation is provided. The duration of the training is 2 hours.
Civil Defense Officer Community Disaster Volunteer Training (SSG-TAG): In this training, which was prepared by Boğaziçi University AHEB and lasted for 24 hours, both theoretical and practical light search and rescue, building damage classification, non-medical triage, public health, disaster psychology, SSG- TAG officers are given information about the Incident Command System. The duration of the training is 2 or 3 days and 8 hours each.
TRAINING MODULES PREPARED BY US
Types of Fire and Intervention Methods: The purpose of Applied Fire and Response Methods Training is to create a basic level of awareness about fires, to teach the causes and dangers of fire, and to introduce and use portable fire extinguishers. Applied Fire and Response Methods Training was prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team Trainers. The content of the training includes information about what is fire, what is required for combustion, stages and types of fire, causes of fire, methods used in fire extinguishing, portable fire extinguishers and their use, and the dangers in the fire place.
The duration of the training is 2 hours.
Evacuation Training in Emergency Situations: The training content prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team trainers includes basic evacuation information, evacuation examples, evacuation in fire, evacuation in schools and hospitals. Training time is 45 minutes.
Emergency Plan Preparation Guide Training: In the training content prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team trainers, basic information about the emergency plan, plan preparation process and steps, hazard and risk analysis and harm reduction studies, preparation of plans and procedures, evacuation and drill is given. Training duration is 2 hours.
Introduction and Use of Rescue Materials: In the content of the training prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team trainers, information is given about the location of the Disaster Containers prepared by the Istanbul Governorship, what the materials and equipment in them are, what they do, and the breaker, drill, generator in the container. ,…etc. applications for operating and using the equipment are carried out. The training period is 2 hours in total, 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of practice.
Applied Flood and Response Techniques Training: The training prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team trainers includes theoretical information on flood and its causes, damages, what to do before, during and after the flood, response methods and equipment.
In the applied training, which is the second part of the training, the information given about the introduction and use of the equipment, ropes and knots used in the intervention is carried out. The training period is 2 hours in total, 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of practice.
Find Your Spouse Prepare Your Disaster Bag Training (Including Various Outdoor Games): The training, prepared by Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team Trainers, provides information about what a disaster bag is, why it is prepared and what should be in it, in order to be prepared before a disaster. The duration of the training is 45 minutes.
In addition, there are the "Find Your Wife, Prepare Your Disaster Bag Game" and "I'm Collecting My Disaster Bag, Bingo Game" that they can participate in with their families and friends under the name of outdoor activities of the education.
In all units affiliated to Kadıköy Municipality, personnel trainings are also carried out by BAK-Kadıköy within the scope of the "Emergency Plan".
In addition, Institutional Risk Analysis, Detection and Reporting studies were carried out under the organization and coordination of Bak-Kadıköy.
The training program of the Kadıköy Municipality Urban Search and Rescue Team is carried out jointly with the Kadıköy Municipality Disaster Management Bureau.
